You will be joining a dynamic and highly motivated team with one goal: "Get quality and secure solutions in the customers hands as soon as possible". We are seeking a remote Quality/Release Engineer to support a large U.S. Space Force engagement based at Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, CA. In this role, you will help innovate and maximize efficiency across a Space Force System Delta. The engineer will establish continuous improvement application deployment policies/practices, supporting version control measures to ensure the quality of new application releases. The engineer will write and maintain automation scripts and programs that efficiently support source code management and version control practices using GitLab or Bitbucket. New application requirements will be obtained while working directly with customers to understand customer needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective short-/long-term solutions. The engineer will independently and collaboratively lead developer meetings focused on optimizing and continuously improving code review practices, addressing any gaps or deficits in quality to drive timely releases of new features or capabilities. The Quality/Release Engineer will excel at developing custom tools, integrations, or plugins/applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies such as Python and Groovy. This role requires strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate with customers and teammates through Agile ceremonies and tools such as Microsoft Teams, while working independently to deliver solutions. The position offers exposure to Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban and opportunities to collaborate with a diverse team of Agile Coaches, SMs, and other Atlassian Engineers. While the role is remote, coverage is required for customer core hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific, Monday–Friday, and company-paid travel to Los Angeles (up to 25%; typically 1 week/month) to support new application release product demonstrations onsite with the customer.
