About The Position

Allan Aircraft, an AS9100D certified company, is seeking a Quality Assurance Receiving Inspector. This role is crucial for ensuring that all incoming materials, components, and products meet the stringent quality standards required in the aerospace industry. The inspector will be responsible for verifying conformance to purchase orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality-system requirements, as well as ensuring complete and accurate traceability documentation. This position is located in North Hollywood, CA, and reports to the Assistant Quality Assurance Manager. The role is Non-Exempt and hourly.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Quality Assurance Workflows, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
  • Ability to apply metric and conversion mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials, components, and products to ensure conformance with purchase orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality-system requirements.
  • Review and verify Certificates of Conformance (C of C), material certifications, special-process certifications, inspection reports, and other required supplier documentation.
  • Ensure all incoming materials and components have complete and accurate traceability documentation in accordance with customer and aerospace requirements.
  • Identify and document missing, incomplete, or discrepant documentation and coordinate resolution with suppliers, Purchasing, and Quality personnel.
  • Perform basic receiving inspections using engineering drawings, tolerances, and measuring tools to verify part identity and identify potential quality concerns.
  • Record inspection and receiving results accurately and maintain organized, auditable quality records.
  • Ensure received materials and components are properly identified, labeled, and traceable throughout the receiving and inspection process.
  • Determine whether incoming items should be accepted, rejected, or placed in quarantine based on inspection and documentation requirements.
  • Support the identification and resolution of nonconforming materials and supplier-related quality issues.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable aerospace quality standards, internal procedures, and customer requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
