Manages the development and implementation of program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, Lean Manufacturing concepts and Six-Sigma tools and analysis. This role involves leading the Quality Management System (QMS Management Representative) and managing various customer programs, including customer interface and monitoring the timely completion of customer requirements. The position also monitors the review, analysis, and reporting of quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems, directing investigations and developing corrective actions. It oversees quality interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives, and coordinates supplier quality actions, including onsite auditing and troubleshooting. The role involves developing and monitoring metrics related to escapes, delivered quality, scrap, rework, repair, and business operation results, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective and preventive actions using continuous improvement tools. The manager will support continuous improvement processes, maintain databases for accurate reporting, develop/maintain performance metrics, and ensure the effectiveness of internal and external audit programs.
