About The Position

Currently, HIROTEC is seeking a Quality Iteration Project Manager to oversee the quality iteration aspects of designated projects. This role involves evaluating and influencing GD&T, tooling concepts/design, and checking fixture design to meet quality objectives. The Project Manager will also be responsible for part management related to quality iteration and will serve as the primary customer contact for panel/tooling issues, explaining quality engineering, iteration, fixtures, and die modifications. Additionally, this role requires communication with internal departments and providing guidance for changes, new directions, processes, and product introductions. The position also involves reviewing project financial status with the project manager and controlling project expenditures within the scope of work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 7+ years of related experience.
  • Background in Body in White assembly system tools in mechanical or controls design or manufacturing.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of body in white system process.
  • Three to five years of related experience and/or training in Assembly Tooling.
  • Knowledge of Hemming/Stamping required.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of Body-in-White system process.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge in Catia, UG or Autocad.
  • MS Office computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and influence GD&T, tooling concepts/design to meet quality objectives.
  • Evaluate and influence checking fixture design to meet quality objectives.
  • Manage parts for quality iteration.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for panel/tooling issues.
  • Explain quality engineering, quality iteration, checking fixtures, and die modifications to customers.
  • Communicate with internal departments to understand quality engineering, quality iteration, checking fixtures, and die modifications.
  • Provide guidance and structure for changes, new directions, new processes, and new product introductions.
  • Review financial status of projects with the project manager.
  • Work with assigned manpower to control project expenditures within the scope of work.
