About The Position

The Associate Quality Control Manager will work with Operations, Quality and Engineering to continuously improve quality performance while ensuring compliance to quality standards. This role performs a variety of quality control inspections/tests on assemblies, components and product at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards. This position is intended for an individual to acquire Professional Quality Control experience that can be leveraged in a higher level Quality role.

Requirements

  • Some experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Self-motivated, analytical, good time management, detail oriented and thorough.
  • Ability to work well with other people.
  • Strong communication skills in speaking and writing.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, facilitation, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving.
  • Able to use the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10 years working in an electronic manufacturing environment especially in a contract manufacturing.
  • 10 years of previous quality experience.
  • Due to ITAR and / or CUI compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assisting with process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) is a plus.
  • Mil-STD 883 Experience is a plus
  • AS9102 or First Article Inspection experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional and visual acceptance inspection of raw material, in-process and completed Electro-Mechanical Assemblies to drawings, specifications, work instructions and routing sheets.
  • Make recommendations for improving processes, technical documents, equipment and/or train operators.
  • Conduct any required special testing, failure analysis, validations, etc.
  • Troubleshoot returned merchandise from customers (RMAs).
  • Develop and maintain all appropriate and required Level documents, i.e., checklist, work instructions, logs, etc.
  • Perform inspection of sub-assemblies, raw material, periodic in-process checks, and final inspections, using internal drawings, schematics and quality inspections tools.
  • Initiate and process nonconforming material documentation and related activities associated with nonconforming material and/or product with Process and Quality Engineers.
  • Assist with the process of documentation and related activities associated with internal and external corrective action, preventative actions.
  • Support internal and external (registrar and customer) audits as required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
