About The Position

The purpose of this role is to work with the Quality group at the Longueuil Manufacturing Center to improve the overall quality signature and performance of the products concerned by ensuring effective management of “QP escapes.” As a Quality Project Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for strategically and rigorously leading the management process for critical non-conformities affecting processes or parts and having a significant impact on production, engine deliveries, or P&WC customers. Leveraging a broad perspective and in-depth knowledge of the quality management system, the incumbent provides sound guidance and multidisciplinary expertise to team members, contributing to well-informed, disciplined decision-making in the management of QP escapes. This quality project management role, therefore, requires strong coordination skills, structured problem analysis, and frequent communication with senior leadership, making the incumbent a key reference both strategically and technically. The position is based at our Longueuil facility, Monday to Friday, exclusively on-site.

Requirements

  • Technical degree and minimum 10 years’ experience or Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Experience in project management, ideally in the manufacturing or aerospace industry
  • Strong coordination, leadership, and communication skills, including the ability to effectively present to senior management
  • Ability to manage critical situations in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with problem-solving tools (8D, Red-X) and document management systems (PLM or equivalent)
  • In-depth knowledge of Six Sigma principles or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of IT systems such as SAP

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end management of critical non-conformity, from detection to closure, including impact assessment, containment actions, root cause analysis, and resolution.
  • Drive root cause investigations using structured methodologies (8D, Red-X), and ensure the timely and sustainable implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Mobilize, coordinate, and lead cross-functional teams (Quality, Engineering, Production, Logistics, etc.) involved in non-conformity resolution.
  • Ensure rigorous follow-up with senior management, providing clear, structured, and results-oriented updates.
  • Manage quality documentation in the appropriate systems (e.g., PLM) and ensure full traceability of events.
  • Leverage events by sharing key learnings and contributing to internal training on non-conformity management.
