About The Position

Intel Foundry is looking for a Quality Program Engineer – Semiconductor Manufacturing to join the Foundry Quality, Reliability, and Labs (FQRL) organization in New Mexico. In this highly visible role, you will help ensure the quality, reliability, and audit readiness of our advanced manufacturing operations while driving continuous improvement programs that directly impact factory performance and customer outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to lead quality initiatives end‑to‑end, collaborate with cross‑functional engineering and factory teams, and influence quality systems supporting new technologies and high‑volume manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with 3+ years of experience in leading Quality programs across factory/manufacturing environments, or with 3+ years of managerial experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Semiconductor industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Quality management Systems (e.g., ISO‑aligned systems)
  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Leadership & Demonstrated Improvement Results with leading quality initiatives and influence cross‑functional teams to drive measurable improvements in yield, reliability, and defect reduction through continuous improvement, rigorous root‑cause analysis, and implementation of sustainable “hard‑fix” solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience driving quality audit programs
  • Demonstrated data extrapolation and analysis proficiency to enable guiding factory wide quality improvement programs
  • Proficiency with advanced Fab and Sort technology processes, statistical process control methodologies, failure and/or materials analysis tools and/or methods, and engineering analysis tools is preferred
  • Experience in Fab/SORT manufacturing and engineering operational quality systems, and Automation systems is also desirable
  • Previous related work experience in a semiconductor foundry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own the site internal audit program, including: Developing and maintaining audit schedules, Identifying nonconformances, process gaps, and improvement opportunities, Training, coaching, and mentoring audit team members
  • Facilitate Factory Quality Meetings to: Identify repeat quality issues, Drive root cause analysis and “hard‑fix” corrective actions
  • Influence and engage cross‑functional stakeholders, including Factory Staff, Area Managers, Group Leaders, Process Engineers, and Technicians to: Proactively identify quality risks, Strengthen excursion response systems, Lead teams to implement sustainable solutions
  • Analyze line yield and quality metrics to: Identify trends and systemic issues
  • Lead program‑level quality improvement initiatives
