About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-level Quality Production Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, TX! The role involves reviewing and validating product non-conformances, disposition types, quality procedures, and engineering requirements. The specialist will perform analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations, and processes against Quality Management System requirements, company procedures, contract requirements, or government regulations. This position requires applying knowledge of aerospace design, systems, and integration to conduct failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems. Additionally, the specialist will train and mentor fellow employees in the Quality Management System, perform root cause analysis on non-conformances to identify causes and prevent reoccurrence, and independently develop, modify, and document actions for problem resolution or corrective/preventive action implementation. The role also includes obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes, negotiating concurrence, obtaining commitments for preventive and corrective actions, prioritizing quality activities, and ensuring problem resolution. The specialist will review and validate corrective action plans, identify their effectiveness, and ensure completion. They will also review and approve Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes, guide the validation of configuration management, quality procedures, and material review policies for software product delivery, and develop software system processes to support changing industry standards. Furthermore, the role involves reviewing and implementing corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements, interpreting industry standards, and providing recommendations for implementation. The specialist will create analytical reports and coordinate with responsible parties for internal/external distribution. The role operates under general direction.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in Quality Management System (QMS)
  • 1+ year of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
  • 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA)
  • 3+ years of experience leading improvement projects using continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to adapt to change in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to cross collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to take initiative
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
