About The Position

The Quality Process Engineer is responsible for maintaining high manufacturing standards by ensuring process compliance and driving a "Zero Defect" culture. You will partner with cross-functional teams to stabilize production flows, eliminate non-conformance, and implement robust error-proofing solutions to ensure long-term product quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 1-2 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality OR High School Diploma / GED with 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Quality

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Zero Defect, Lean, Six Sigma, or Built-In Quality frameworks.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt).
  • Experience in manufacturing environments (e.g., industrial, energy, aerospace, automotive).
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Generator assembly, disassembly, or overhaul experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage internal manufacturing and process quality, ensuring compliance with specifications and requirements.
  • Drive containment actions for non-conforming materials to prevent disruption to manufacturing operations.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to protect production flow and reduce quality escapes.
  • Lead structured problem-solving activities (8D, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis) for internal process driven defects.
  • Ensure timely implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Drive systemic fixes to prevent recurrence and reduce defect rates.
  • Deploy Zero Defect framework principles within the manufacturing cell.
  • Implement Built-In Quality (BIQ) practices, focusing on prevention, error-proofing (Poka-Yoke), and process capability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to standardize quality systems and best practices.
  • Work closely with Sourcing, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Logistics teams to improve end-to-end quality.
