About The Position

The KS Large Bore Pistons Group is one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of large-bore pistons, offering solutions for pistons with diameters ranging from 130 to 640mm. Our pistons are made of aluminum, spheroidal graphite iron, or steel, as well as combinations of these materials for all customer applications. In addition to pistons for conventional fuels, we also provide product solutions for alternative fuels such as hydrogen, ammonia, or methanol. We are looking for a Quality Operator! In this role, you will be responsible for performing quality checks/audits to ensure parts conform to customer specifications and Company quality standards.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma, equivalent, or relevant experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic math experience
  • Ability to utilize English and Metric units of measure
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to carry out detailed instructions
  • Blueprint reading skills
  • Ability to use hand tools and hand gauges
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license by KSLP standards

Nice To Haves

  • Background in Manufacturing is ideal

Responsibilities

  • Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to ensure adherence to customer specifications and Company quality standards.
  • Notify proper personnel when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or when major incidents of poor quality are noted.
  • Master, adjust, and properly maintain both manual and electronic gauges.
  • Perform ingoing and outgoing audits as assigned.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, etc.
  • Perform basic daily preventive maintenance, machine care. and cleaning activities according to CIL Standards.
  • Communicate with previous and following shift to exchange information and learn of problems.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping activities.
  • Maintain a valid forklift license and support with material handling duties as necessary.
