About The Position

Under General Direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and company procedures and guidelines, this position implements methods and procedures for inspection, testing and evaluation. It involves supervising and training Quality Technicians, evaluating their performance, and providing opportunities for growth. The role also includes communicating department objectives and metrics, implementing changes in methods, tooling, equipment, space allocations, workforce utilization, production schedules, and other factors to maintain or improve compliance with quality standards of existing products and to establish initial and continuing compliance. This position supervises the timely evaluation of complaints and returned product and provides input to the budget planning process. The role is responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level and ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices, ensuring that all necessary resources are available and in good condition. Additionally, the position is responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures. Up to 10% travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Generally, requires (6-8) years related experience.
  • High school or associate degree.
  • Related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Medical Device environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Process Excellence / Six Sigma Certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implements methods and procedures for inspection, testing and evaluation.
