About The Position

As a Quality Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting quality initiatives and plant operations in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside Quality and cross-functional teams to investigate quality issues, identify potential root causes, and support corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts. This role provides an opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world manufacturing challenges while developing skills in problem-solving, data analysis, communication, and project management. You will help monitor quality concerns across shifts, follow up on open issues, communicate findings and status updates, and support plant-specific quality projects and assignments.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including effective verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with employees and teams across a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university
  • Minimum of one year or equivalent in an accredited college pursuing a bachelor’s degree
  • Available to work approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate the qualified candidate's academic schedule and availability.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Quality team with daily quality activities, plant objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist cross-functional teams in investigating quality issues identified during production shifts.
  • Follow up on quality concerns identified during previous shifts to ensure appropriate actions are completed.
  • Help identify, document, and communicate actual and potential quality issues.
  • Support root-cause investigations and corrective action activities.
  • Track assigned tasks, projects, and action items to ensure timely completion.
  • Communicate project and issue status to Quality and other cross-functional team members.
  • Assist with data collection, analysis, reporting, and documentation related to quality performance.
  • Participate in team meetings and quality improvement activities.
  • Support additional plant-specific quality projects and assignments as needed.
