About The Position

This role is within Textron Systems' Marine & Land Systems business area. The Quality NDT Tech is responsible for structural and welding inspection and defect identification using VT, PT, and MT methods to ensure adherence to standards, specifications, and drawing requirements. Experience in Visual, Dye Penetrant, and Magnetic Particle inspections across all three methods is preferred.

Requirements

Must hold the following certifications: Level II ASNT in VT, PT, and MT (an AWS CWI certification is preferred and accepted as an alternative to VT Level II).
Must hold a current AMPP CIP Level 2 certification or an AWS CWI certification or have 3 years of UT flaw experience.
Must pass the required Eye exams for the NDT methods performed, as applicable.
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Visual, Dye Penetrant, and Magnetic Particle inspections across all three methods is preferred.
Technical/vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

Approach assignments with a high ethical resolve, ensuring reputable standing with our onsite customers.
Ability to implement NDT inspection methods in accordance with written procedures.
Visual examinations by means of instruments, gauges, jigs, templates, or other measuring devices to include nondestructive test methods to ensure adherence to standards, specifications, drawing, etc.
Conduct weld inspections using but not limited to VT, PT, and MT methods.
Conduct coating inspections in accordance with written procedures.
Generates Quality reports, completes Inspection Check Lists, nonconformance documents, calibration reports, and other Quality documents/records as applicable to the specific area assigned.
Adheres to all safety requirements, departmental instructions and TMLS Policies and Procedures.
Performs any and all other duties assigned by management.
Willingness to work an off shift if needed.
