About The Position

The Remote Quality Manager (QM) plays a vital leadership role in driving performance excellence across the healthcare system. This position is accountable for designing, implementing, and managing an enterprise-wide Quality Program that aligns with SRHS strategic priorities. As the champion for quality, the QM will partner with leaders and teams across departments to improve patient care, operational efficiency, financial performance, and customer experience. From guiding hospital and department-level quality councils to spearheading high-impact, multidisciplinary projects, the QM uses data-driven insights, proven methodologies, and collaborative leadership to achieve measurable, system-wide improvements. This is a dynamic and highly visible role for a strategic thinker, facilitator, and change agent who thrives on tackling complex challenges and turning them into opportunities for growth and transformation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field required
  • Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required
  • 8+ years’ experience in an integrated health delivery system, with at least 5 years in a management role
  • 6+ years’ experience in work measurement, process improvement, methods analysis, and project management
  • Proven success in leading teams, managing large-scale organizational change, and achieving measurable improvement outcomes
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and apply critical thinking skills

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred
  • Certification in Healthcare Quality (e.g., CPHQ) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as facility-based quality leader, accountable for advancing SRHS’s Quality and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program
  • Facilitate and lead system-wide quality programs, education, and performance excellence initiatives
  • Lead hospital and department-level quality councils, fostering collaboration across disciplines
  • Conduct data mining and analysis, providing actionable insights on performance metrics such as Hospital Compare Star Ratings and Leapfrog measures
  • Deliver monthly reports and analysis on system-wide quality metrics
  • Act as project lead on enterprise and hospital-based process improvement projects
  • Guide multidisciplinary teams in defining, analyzing, and solving complex challenges, while setting priorities and designing sustainable improvement strategies
