About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager (Level K) to join our team in Huntsville, AL! This position performs management activities across multiple (2 or more) Quality Management Job Families. The role involves developing and executing business plans, policies, and procedures, as well as developing organizational and technical strategies. The Quality Manager will provide education and coaching on the Quality System, acquire and manage resources, and lead process improvements. Additionally, they will develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers, and direct reports, while managing, developing, and motivating employees.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100)
  • 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCCA) and Corrective Action
  • 3+ years of experience working with Non-Conformance (NCR) processes
  • 3+ years of experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience with system engineering /quality engineering
  • Experience with surveillance and compliance audits
