The Quality Manager (USACE experience) interfaces with engineering, construction, management, clients, and client inspectors to address quality-related concerns across civil, electrical, mechanical, structural, and industrial/commercial subcontracts. This role implements quality assurance/quality control programs for the Company, receives owner, manufacturer, and engineering quality requirements and applies them to the project. The Quality Manager supports planning, development, and implementation of vendor surveillance activities for procured items, and manages third-party inspection services for bolting, welding, nondestructive testing, concrete testing, soil inspections, and others as required. They interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and code requirements, ensuring contractors have all required quality plans, procedures, and certifications. The role involves performing inspections within the field of expertise, interfacing with clients through surveys, and documenting inspections and related quality control activities. Additionally, the Quality Manager performs random jobsite audits to assure conformance to AISC, ASME, and project specifications.
