About The Position

Doncasters is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their team in Long Beach, CA. This is an exciting opportunity within an established global organization that specializes in the manufacturing of complex precision cast components for aerospace engines and industrial gas turbines. The company employs over 3,000 people across 14 manufacturing facilities worldwide and is committed to integrity, commitment, and teamwork. The Quality Manager will be the owner of the Quality Management System and RCCA program, responsible for ensuring compliance and maintaining AS9100 accreditation through internal and external audits. The ideal candidate will be energetic, flexible, adaptable, and possess strong communication skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Quality Assurance or Manufacturing discipline or equivalent.
• AS9100 Lead Auditor or Auditor Certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with computers (word, excel, power point); ideally able to manipulate data in excel and to create Pareto charts using pivot tables.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Management Systems.
• Experience performing internal audits to ISO9001/AS9100 standards.
• Prior participation in AS9100/ISO 9001 external compliance audits.
• Previous experience with Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action procedures.
• Experience of working within a metallurgical environment.
• Clear understanding of AS9100 and other quality related approvals and standards.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred.
• Trained lead auditor for ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Own the Quality Management System and RCCA (Root Cause/Corrective Action) program.
• Assure compliance and maintain AS9100 accreditation.
• Carry out internal/external audits to ISO/AS standards and internal CAPI processes.
