Quality Manager | Auckland Airport Project
About The Position
Southbase is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join a large project team delivering a complex construction project in South Auckland. This is a high-profile role on a technically demanding build, where you will lead a small quality team and play a central part in ensuring the project meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and client satisfaction. Reporting to the Project Director, you will take ownership of the project's QA management system, from developing inspection and test plans (ITPs) through to managing defects, subcontractor QA, and project deliverables, while mentoring and guiding your team.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in quality management with Tier 1 construction companies in New Zealand.
- Hands-on experience with Electronic Document Management Systems, such as Aconex and Procore.
- Proven ability to develop and manage QA processes, site inspection templates and ITPs.
- Experience managing technical documentation, project communications and handover processes (PS1/2/3/4, warranties, certificates).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to liaise across clients, consultants, subcontractors and local authorities.
Nice To Haves
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A certification in quality management or a related field.
