About The Position

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Quality Manager who will be working in our Lewis Run, PA location. This person will report to the Director of Quality and/or Plant Manager.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have good math skills and able to use math formulas. Can solve basic equations.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Has a good comprehension of gauging techniques, blue print dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Able to comprehend computer software and program equipment as required.
  • Familiarity with IATF16949 standard including core tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, FMEA, and SPC) including Customer Specific Requirements.
  • Ability to lead, train and drive change.
  • Use precision measuring equipment, methods and techniques, record and interpret results.
  • Thorough understanding of all processing steps in the powder metal process.
  • Effectively use computers and appropriate software.
  • Understand and use Engineering Specs, procedures, control plans, FMEA’s and other appropriate systems.
  • Thorough understanding of SPC principles.
  • Updating and maintaining appropriate SPC records, data and systems.
  • Collecting and evaluating data from a statistical point of view.

Nice To Haves

  • Be familiar with the equipment and process of Heat Treating.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review and/or revise control plans.
  • Review SPC charts on a timely basis. Develop SPC summary information.
  • Maintain, update and revise control limits.
  • Work with engineering and/or QC to determine critical characteristics to be monitored and/or controlled on product and tooling.
  • Coordinate and participate in capability studies on new and existing equipment.
  • Work with engineering to establish, monitor and maintain capability.
  • Work effectively with other functional areas to guarantee quality products.
  • Provide active input to continuous improvement.
  • Effectively communicate job-related information.
  • Work with other functional areas to develop and/or test new or existing measuring equipment.
  • Assist in reviewing and revising process sheets as requested.
  • Develop and/or revise quality assurance/manufacturing procedures.
  • Actively participate in the training and evaluation or personnel.
  • Able to direct lab technician as required.
  • Be familiar with the equipment and process of Heat Treating.
  • Perform other tasks as requested.
  • Work with and assist others.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Assist in writing procedures when required.
