About The Position

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring consistent product quality across manufacturing operations at the two facilities, including weldments, laser-cut components, and machined parts, as well as paint, final inspection, and testing. This role establishes clear quality standards, ensures effective execution across processes and sites, and provides fact-based guidance to support informed product release decisions. The Quality Manager partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to support on-time delivery while protecting product performance, safety, and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred
  • 7+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with: Weldments and fabrication
  • Demonstrated experience with: Machined parts and dimensional control
  • Demonstrated experience with: Paint or coatings processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in heavy equipment, attachments, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting multi-process or multi-site manufacturing operations.
  • Prior leadership experience in a production-facing quality role.

Responsibilities

  • Own quality performance for all products produced at the Cherokee facility, including fabricated assemblies, weldments (manual and robotic), laser-cut parts, and machined components.
  • Own quality performance for 60th Street operations, including paint, final inspection, and functional testing.
  • Ensure products released for shipment meet defined requirements for form, fit, function, safety, and workmanship.
  • Establish and maintain clear, executable quality standards and inspection criteria aligned with product requirements and manufacturing processes.
  • Define inspection points and acceptance criteria based on process risk and critical characteristics.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure drawings, specifications, and routings support repeatable, controllable quality.
  • Define weld quality expectations and inspection methods for manual and robotic welding processes.
  • Ensure machining tolerances and critical dimensions are properly measured, controlled, and verified.
  • Support production teams in identifying process gaps and implementing corrective actions that improve first-pass yield.
  • Define paint and coating quality requirements, including surface preparation, application, appearance, and durability.
  • Ensure final inspection and testing processes verify product readiness for shipment and intended use.
  • Maintain effective final quality checks that prevent defects from reaching customers while supporting production flow.
  • Lead investigation and resolution of quality issues using structured problem-solving approaches.
  • Implement corrective actions that address root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Use quality data and trends to reduce scrap, rework, and customer-reported issues.
  • Serve as the primary quality partner to Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Provide clear, fact-based input to product disposition and shipment release decisions.
  • Identify and escalate quality risks that may impact product performance, safety, or customer expectations.
  • Lead and develop quality inspectors and quality personnel across both facilities.
  • Ensure consistent application of quality standards through training, coaching, and oversight.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
