This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a hardworking team of Quality professionals, you will lead and manage Receiving Inspection and non conforming material within the warehouse in Orlando for all shifts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, or a related technical field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or inspection roles within aerospace, defense, or a related high-complexity manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience managing teams in a production or warehouse setting
  • Working knowledge of nonconforming material control processes and disposition workflows (e.g., MRB, SCAR)
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and command media documentation practices
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical standards
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple shifts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP systems
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an aerospace or space launch vehicle manufacturing environment
  • ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or equivalent certification
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality management standards and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), or other process improvement frameworks
  • Prior experience managing multi-shift operations in a warehouse or receiving environment
  • Familiarity with first article inspection (FAI) processes per AS9102
  • Experience with Government Source Inspection (GSI) or customer witness inspection requirements
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable process improvements and efficiency gains
  • Experience managing departmental budgets and workforce planning

Responsibilities

  • Allocate and manage personnel and resources to align with program-driven priorities while sustaining the throughput and efficiency of receiving inspection processes
  • Lead the full hiring lifecycle and deliver comprehensive training programs to build and maintain a high-performing inspection team
  • Ensure inspectors are equipped with the proper tools and calibrated equipment necessary to perform inspections to standard; maintain accountability for all work center assets and recurring task schedules
  • Identify, champion, and implement continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with the Receiving Inspection leadership team
  • Uphold adherence to processes, policies, and best practices as defined in command media and directed by Receiving Inspection leadership
  • Serve as the local point of contact for product acceptance and receiving inspection activities in program-level discussions and cross-functional forums
  • Facilitate and support the successful implementation of organizational and process changes within the work center
  • Execute responsibilities within the assigned budget, exercising sound fiscal judgment
