About The Position

REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, we have 16 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. We are ideally positioned to respond to the needs of an increasingly recycling-conscious world. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill. Real Alloy is looking for a Quality Manager to be physically located at our Morgantown, KY site. The Quality Manager will be responsible for leading, developing, and sustaining effective Quality Management Systems (QMS). The Quality Manager role will need to ensure we are ISO 9001 compliant, will lead all corrective actions, and partner with the plant leadership team to improve key operational metrics.

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Science, or related fields.
  • Have prior experience managing ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 systems.
  • Have a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Quality, Continuous Improvement, or Manufacturing Operations.
  • Have experience leading or managing an ISO 9001 (or IATF 16949) Quality Management System.
  • Have a strong knowledge of QMS principles, auditing, statistical methods, control charts, FMEA, problem-solving tools, and process analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Have prior experience in metals, automotive, aluminum recycling, or heavy manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and continuously improve the ISO 9001–based QMS for the Morgantown facility.
  • Perform internal ISO audits and lead preparation for external ISO audits; ensure findings are addressed and closed on time.
  • Lead document control activities, ensuring timely updates and consistent use of current revisions across the plant.
  • Coordinate and monitor quality control activities, ensuring products meet customer specifications and internal standards.
  • Oversee calibration systems, quality lab operations, and maintenance of related records.
  • Facilitate Management Reviews and reporting of QMS performance.
  • Take ownership of customer quality issues, lead root cause investigations, and develop and validate robust corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary site contact for customer specifications, concerns, and quality communications.
  • Assist in control plan creation and execution, FMEAs, and supplier quality activities.
  • Identify and lead process improvements to detect and correct deviations before they reach the customer.
