About The Position

The QMS Auditor & Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, auditing, and continuously improving the organization’s Quality Management System in alignment with applicable ISO standards and ITAR regulations. This role ensures North America compliance, manages controlled documentation, leads internal audits, and supports regulatory readiness across all business units.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive accountability.
  • Proficiency with QMS software and document management systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems, auditing, compliance roles.
  • Hands-on experience with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Experience with ITAR compliance and regulated environments is required.
  • Proven experience managing internal audit programs and document control systems.

  • Master’s degree
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or ISO Lead Auditor certification.
  • ITAR or export compliance training/certification.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or others as applicable).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data, audit findings, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure alignment of QMS processes across global sites and departments.
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct internal audits across functions and locations.
  • Lead audit teams and ensure audits are performed in accordance with ISO audit guidelines.
  • Identify nonconformities, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Track and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) through closure.
  • Ensure compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on regulatory requirements and communicate changes across the organization.
  • Support external audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Manage the document control system, ensuring proper creation, approval, revision, distribution, and archival of controlled documents.
  • Ensure global consistency of policies, procedures, work instructions, and records.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure accessibility and traceability.
  • Develop and deliver training on QMS processes, compliance requirements, and audit readiness.
  • Promote a culture of quality and compliance throughout the organization.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs related to quality, audit performance, and compliance.
  • Prepare reports for leadership on audit outcomes, compliance status, and improvement initiatives.
