About The Position
Capital Health is seeking a Quality Management RN Per Diem to join their team. This remote opportunity involves facilitating performance improvement and patient safety activities within the department. The role requires initial screening and analysis of reported events, data abstraction, and facilitating case reviews and documentation in accordance with accreditation, regulatory, and public reporting quality measures.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Three years acute hospital care with understanding of performance improvement.
- Registered Nurse - NJ
- Possesses excellent organizational, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates and supports performance improvement and patient safety for assigned area to promote clinical excellence and patient safety.
- Understands data definition, abstraction and benchmarking requirements to facilitate meaningful data collection, interpretation and presentation.
- Screens charts for quality-of-care issues, and compliance with quality measures using pre-established criteria.
- Assists in the identification of cases for review and education to promote quality of patient care.
- Assists with the investigation of quality-of-care concerns for providers, payers and patients/ families.
- Assists with the analysis and trending of data through review of reported events, case screening, and data abstraction.
- Prepares and designs meaningful reports that include statistical analysis, interpretation, monitoring and benchmarking of clinical data.
- Participates in multidisciplinary teams and collaborative projects to promote performance improvement and patient safety.
- Attends in-service training and seminars to maintain and improve knowledge of performance improvement methodologies and techniques.
