About The Position

FlexStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience and strong knowledge of CHHA regulations to work full-time as a Quality Management Nurse for our client, a certified home care agency, located in Brooklyn, NY. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous performance improvement of the CHHA.

Requirements

  • Active, unencumbered NYS RN license.
  • 2+ years CHHA clinical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CHHA regulations (federal, state, DOH) and Medicare CoPs (documentation, visit frequency, billing).
  • Proven experience reviewing clinical records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • OASIS data experience and its impact on quality reporting and reimbursement.
  • Experience with survey readiness, audits, and regulatory responses (OMIG, CMS, DOH).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure organizational compliance with CHHA regulations and DOH, state, and federal requirements; serve as a subject-matter resource for regulatory standards.
  • Apply Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs) to daily operations, verifying appropriate documentation, visit frequency, and billing practices.
  • Conduct ongoing clinical record reviews for accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and regulatory compliance; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee OASIS data collection processes; validate data quality and timeliness to support accurate quality reporting and reimbursement.
  • Monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and develop/execute performance improvement plans; track outcomes and report results to leadership.
  • Prepare the agency for surveys and audits; coordinate readiness activities, mock surveys, and staff education.
  • Lead or support responses to OMIG, CMS, and DOH inquiries, audits, and corrective action plans; maintain required documentation.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to standardize workflows, policies, and documentation to meet CoPs and CHHA requirements.
  • Provide training and coaching to clinical staff on documentation standards, OASIS accuracy, and compliance best practices.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary quality meetings; produce dashboards and summaries for continuous quality improvement.
