About The Position

The Quality & Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing field quality, maintenance performance, safety compliance, client satisfaction, warranty management, and post-installation operations throughout Southern California. This hands-on leadership role focuses on ensuring projects and maintenance operations meet Pierre Landscape's standards for quality, safety, productivity, and customer service. The Quality & Maintenance Supervisor works closely with Project Managers, Foremen, crews, clients, and Quality & Maintenance administrative staff to identify issues, implement solutions, improve field performance, and support long-term maintenance success.

Requirements

  • Strong horticultural and landscape maintenance experience.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience within commercial landscaping.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems, plant health, pruning, and landscape maintenance best practices.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Valid California Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
  • Criminal background check required.

Nice To Haves

  • ISA Certified Arborist.
  • Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ).
  • Landscape industry certifications or related education.
  • Experience conducting employee training and field coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily field inspections of maintenance and construction projects.
  • Evaluate landscape quality, irrigation performance, and contract compliance.
  • Document findings and develop corrective action plans.
  • Ensure company standards and client expectations are consistently met.
  • Assess plant material, trees, turf, and irrigation systems.
  • Diagnose plant health issues, pest concerns, and irrigation deficiencies.
  • Recommend corrective actions and long-term solutions.
  • Support tree care assessments and coordinate specialty services when needed.
  • Promote and enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Conduct jobsite safety observations and field audits.
  • Coach crews on safe work practices and hazard prevention.
  • Support incident investigations and corrective actions when necessary.
  • Train Foremen and field crews on horticultural best practices.
  • Provide instruction on irrigation troubleshooting, pruning standards, and plant care.
  • Support onboarding and field development initiatives.
  • Reinforce company quality expectations and operating procedures.
  • Manage warranty-related inspections and corrective work.
  • Coordinate responses to plant health, irrigation, and landscape deficiencies.
  • Track warranty issues through resolution.
  • Support project turnover and maintenance transition activities.
  • Conduct job walks with clients, Project Managers, and field leadership.
  • Monitor production performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain inspection reports, quality documentation, and operational records.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives across departments.
