About The Position

The role will involve a range of responsibilities that are crucial for maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This individual will handle customer complaints related to quality and take necessary corrective actions. Identifying and reviewing quality issues and potential root-cause analysis and make recommendations for improvements to upper management.

Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation to commute to and from the Lear Corp. Montgomery plant.
  • Must be able to work complete weeks at Lear Corp. Montgomery plant, and Lear Corp. Selma plant as needed.
  • Must be available to work on weekends on both plants as needed.
  • Must have high knowledge of foam quality – Global foam standard, inspection, repair, sorting, special / critical specifications, lab testing, dimensional testing, RMA and product audits.
  • Basic understanding of office, to read and respond to emails, create excel reports and prepare PowerPoint presentations.
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 3+ years of Automotive customer or quality liaison experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel to training, conferences, and plant support as required.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of PS, RCA, CA, CP, 8D, PPAP and APQP preferred.
  • Foam or Polyurethane experience.

Responsibilities

  • Handle customer complaints related to quality and take necessary corrective actions.
  • Identify and review quality issues and potential root-cause analysis.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to upper management.
  • Work complete weeks at Lear Corp. Montgomery plant, and Lear Corp. Selma plant as needed.
  • Respond in a professional way to customer questions regarding foam, defects, and quality on their production line & relay information to Selma.
  • Discuss quality topics with the customer representing Selma.
  • Read and respond to emails, create excel reports and prepare PowerPoint presentations.
  • Make and receive phone calls and meetings from both customer and plant.
  • Take pictures or videos, for communication and documentation purposes.
  • Providing quality support in the plant and at customer site.
