About The Position

The Customer Liaison will be the link between MSSC and the customer’s production facility; preventing or resolving quality issues before, or as they arise. Serves as a liaison to manufacturing for quality and product related questions. Research customer requirements in order to make well-informed decisions. Completes the weekly quality report with accurate information on appropriate tabs. Supports continuous improvement efforts. Engages in analysis activities and continuous improvement projects as requested. Demonstrates integrity and strong time management. Resolve quality, production, and logistic issues between MSSC and the customer. Supports Quality Engineering team by assisting with containment of product at customer and provide information for Quality Alerts. Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and procedures. Reports issues and works with the customer to address and/or recommend resolution of issues. Prepares appropriate paperwork and reports, as required, and presents and discusses with customer. Effectively maintains Containment Processes (work instructions, charting, reporting, etc.). Will also be required to conduct quality functions at MSSC when needed. Communicate effectively with both customer and MSSC, materials and quality departments Assist MSSC customer in problem resolution Ability to identify problems Report issues to both customer and MSSC. Needs to be self-motivated and have the ability to maintain duties in fast paced environment Summarizes and updates quality status information in order to clearly share with MSSC Quality Team. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in the automotive industry with extensive customer interaction.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent the Company in a professional manner when performing all job duties.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to exercise influence at various levels and functions.
  • Must be able to operate standard measurement tools (i.e. micrometers, filler gauges) and basic electrical equipment (test box).
  • Basic computer background with ability to capture information using Excel / Word / PowerPoint and use email programs.
  • Must be familiar with Customer Specific Requirements.
  • Must be knowledgeable with IATF16949 and various other Quality related systems.
  • Must possess excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Seat building experience preferable.
  • Organization and communication skills to effectively work with internal personnel, customers and suppliers.
  • Teamwork to assist with customer concern items

  • Participate in internal audits.
  • Participates in continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts for the department.
  • Liaise with other departments to identify, analyze and resolve problems.
  • Introduce or recommend changes to work methods, aligned with Mafact and MPS methodology.
