About The Position

The Quality Lab Technician is responsible for inspecting and verifying that products meet customer specifications and company quality expectations. This role involves performing validation, verification of monitoring activities, product sampling, inspection, analysis, and internal audits at all stages of production according to governing regulations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience with testing methodology and the ability to analyze and interpret results.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft applications - Outlook, Word, Excel.
Problem-solving, trouble-shooting, time management, and organization skills.
Ability to communicate well with all disciplines and levels at the facility and corporate.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred (ISO, SQF, FAMI-Q5, IPEC, etc.).

Responsibilities

Provide disposition for the receipt, inspection, and release of raw, in-process, finished product, packaging materials, and processing aids.
Issue, review, and file batch records, labels, facility documentation, and seals for manufacturing and packaging.
Create and issue Certificates of Analysis for all shipments. Prepare other customer-specific documentation or label requirements.
Review Certificates of Analysis provided with raw materials or containers and verify against internal specifications.
Review department systems to improve processes and procedures.
Maintain all laboratory equipment.
Perform and/or facilitate third-party product testing on raw materials, in-process, and final product.
Apply all product quality and safety standards as well as report any product safety incidents to the Supervisor, Manager, or designated back-up.
Perform other miscellaneous related duties, as needed.
