About The Position

The Membrane Quality team supports the manufacturing of advanced filtration membrane products used in semiconductor applications. This position will be based in our Bedford, MA facility. The Quality Lab Scientist II is responsible for Quality Assurance testing and will provide analytical support for all manufacturing processes, including incoming material inspections, in-process production key parameter testing, final product releasing, V&Q projects, and plant quality as well as R&D testing requests. The QA scientist will prepare and test samples and GCMS, GCFID, HPLC, ASE, UV-VIS, titration, Instron etc and report data using LIMS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or equivalent degrees in science
  • Experience with chemistry lab and hands-on experience with GCMS, LC, FTIR, UV-Vis, and other analytical tools
  • Strong communication skills and team spirit

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a Safe Working Environment: Consistently uphold a clean and safe work environment. Ensure the safety of co-workers and visitors at all times. Adhere to the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Execute all duties in a safe manner, following established safety procedures without exception. Stay vigilant for potential hazards, promptly communicate any concerns to leadership, and recommend safer alternatives when necessary. Participate in safety training sessions as required.
  • Technical Support and Quality Assurance: Handle customer requests appropriately and in a timely manner. Conduct all QA testing of UPE products from manufacturing. Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) for conducting required tests. Set up analytical standards, reagent mixes and/or deliver production chemicals used in testing process. Analyze and interpret test data, maintain documentation of test operations and ensure data quality and integrity. Propose continuous improvement ideas, testing procedures for efficiency improvements, and execute tasks to implement changes by presenting in MOC meetings. Keep lab documents, such as SOP, SDS, COA, etc. update to date and chemical inventory / stock up to date. Order supplies promptly to prevent any shortages. Ensure proper running of all laboratory equipment (GCMS, GCFID, HPLC, LC-MS, ASE extractors, Instron, etc.). Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot testing equipment. Regularly verify equipment performance using Long-Term Stability SQC charting. Ensure full compliance with Entegris Quality requirements. Execute Out-of-Control Action Plans (OCAP) and implementation of corrective actions. Remove and dispose of waste chemicals in accordance with company established safety procedures.
