About The Position

The Quality & Inventory Specialist is responsible for establishing and publishing weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules. This role involves communicating and coordinating these schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily to ensure necessary resources are allocated. The specialist will direct the work of personnel assigned to audits and counts, and provide daily written and electronic reports of analysis and statistics. Additionally, the role includes spot auditing various warehouse personnel functions, identifying trends for corrective action, managing email correspondence, and performing other assigned duties. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 5 or more years of related work experience.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent audit skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Must have the ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Working knowledge of inventory quality control requirements, and industry standards.
  • Must be highly organized and pay close attention to detail.
  • Stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance.
  • Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of industry related experience preferred.
  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
  • Communicates and coordinates inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily.
  • Directs the work of any personnel assigned to the quality audits and/or inventory counts by the Warehouse Supervisors.
  • Provides daily written and electronic copies of analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audits results.
  • Spot audits unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts and documents the results in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Interacts with supervisors and leads to help identify trends, processes, or people that require corrective action.
  • Reads and responds to all emails in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
