About The Position

As an Intern in Quality, you will gain valuable experience in a manufacturing setting which will aid in directing your future decisions regarding potential career pathways. Universal Alloy Corporation (UAC) is looking for dedicated individuals who want to learn and SOAR with us. The internship program aims to develop soft skills such as punctuality, dependability, communication, teamwork, and initiative, as well as customer/employee relation skills. Interns will gain an understanding of UAC's operations and how their assigned tasks impact the business, along with a foundational understanding of a manufacturing facility.

Requirements

  • Rising Junior or Senior in High School or some college
  • At Least 16 years old
  • Safety Commitment: All UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety trainings, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries. Employees must understand the PPE and wear it properly.
  • ITAR REQUIREMENTS: UAC has a responsibility to comply with all applicable requirements set forth by International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR). This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. �Green Card Holder�) Political Asylee, or Refugee.   • Assist staff with the following tasks: Implementation of standard practices and procedures
  • Support in special projects / data collection
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly process audits
  • Calibration process and timeliness
  • Manages calibration timeliness
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by the Quality Manager
