About The Position

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality of assembled products through various inspection techniques. This role involves conducting first piece inspections, performing in-process and final inspections, and maintaining accurate documentation. The inspector will utilize specialized equipment and adhere to the company's Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of basic print reading, basic measuring equipment, and computer skills.
  • Ability to read and understand basic business correspondence as it relates to the job function and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Sinclair personnel.
  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish fact, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Regularly required to sit for extended periods, talk, and listen.
  • Frequently required to walk and carry product.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend stairs while carrying a load of 10 pounds.
  • Use hands and fingers to feel, squeeze, grip product and tools.
  • Required to push/pull and reach above shoulders.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of QT-9 Database and understanding of quality plans.
  • Knowledge of company ERP system (ABAS).
  • Advanced inspection techniques. Visual and mechanical using customer drawings and required specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 1st piece inspection of assembled product (mechanical, visual, and leak check).
  • Perform per plate, post plate and final inspection per the quality plan.
  • Create and process Non conformances, and CAR’s (Corrective Action Report) when required.
  • Ensure all paperwork (internal and external is signed and up to date with correct revisions and specifications.
  • Complete Quality Assurance Dept. documentation.
  • Understand drawings and a basic understanding of GD & T.
  • Use of microscope.
  • Use of vision inspection equipment, Quick scope, Keyence.
  • Understand measurement tool calibration; perform calibrations as necessary.
  • Use as necessary, the following test equipment: Thermal Shock, Thermal Cycle, Vacuum Ovens, Solder, Force Measurement.
  • Become familiar with the company’s QMS requirements as they relate to Quality Assurance Dept. and this position.
