Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 1+ years of quality inspection or related experience
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications
  • Experience with inspection documentation and reporting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • 2–4 years of quality inspection experience (manufacturing or aerospace environment)
  • Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI / AS9102)
  • Knowledge of AS9100 or similar quality standards
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma principles
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle)
  • Experience with quality management systems/software (e.g., TIPQA)

Responsibilities

  • Perform product inspections to verify conformance to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges) to validate dimensions and tolerances
  • Document and provide objective evidence of inspection results
  • Conduct audits, surveillance, and process monitoring activities
  • Identify, document, and track non-conformances (NCRs)
  • Segregate and control non-conforming material (MRB processes)
  • Support customer product reviews and verification activities
  • Identify recurring or significant defects and initiate corrective actions (CAPA)
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and reports using internal systems
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements
