About The Position

Barbasol, LLC, a company with over 100 years of history producing iconic brands like Barbasol and Pure Silk, is seeking a full-time Quality Inspector for their second shift. This role is crucial in upholding the integrity and quality standards of their products. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for thoroughly inspecting raw materials and finished goods, accurately documenting findings, and ensuring compliance with company quality standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The position also involves assisting in the development of quality documentation and maintaining sanitary conditions in quality facilities and production lines. Strong communication skills with production staff are essential for preventing and resolving quality issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Demonstrated success in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a quality inspection or similar role, as typically acquired by three or more years’ experience is required.
• Knowledge of applicable OSHA practices.
• Mathematical skills; add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Able to understand and use standard inspection and measurement equipment.
• Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and be flexible in job roles.
• Critical-thinking to consider possible causes of an issue and act quickly.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and/or 5S environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with safe working procedures including but not limited to wearing correct PPE, knowing emergency evacuation procedures, and utilizing safe lifting techniques.
• Inspect components, raw materials and finished goods, and document results.
• Release or reject finished goods based on company quality standards and SOPs.
• Assist in the development of Quality Documentation such as SOPs, Forms and Work Instructions.
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the Quality Facilities and on the Production Lines.
• Communicate effectively with Lead Line Operators and Line Operators to prevent or minimize disruptions due to quality issues.
