As a Quality Inspector, you will be the final checkpoint before Zellerfeld shoes reach the customer. Your role is crucial in ensuring every shoe meets our high standards, documenting any findings, and providing valuable insights to the team for continuous improvement. No prior engineering background is required; we are looking for individuals with keen observation skills, strong focus, and effective communication abilities.
Requirements
- Prioritize safety for yourself and the team.
- Possess a sharp eye for detail, noticing subtle imperfections.
- Be comfortable maintaining simple, organized logs and communicating findings clearly.
- Demonstrate reliability, proactivity, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Located in Austin or nearby.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in checking or inspection work (e.g., garment checking, food inspection, product sorting).
- A background in footwear, fashion, garments, crafts, or any hands-on role.
- No technical degree required.
Responsibilities
- Inspect shoes at different production stages for visual and structural quality, including patterns, finish, and consistency.
- Follow existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and contribute to their improvement for enhanced training and product quality.
- Document inspection findings, track recurring issues, and maintain clear Quality Control (QC) logs.
- Handle rejected pairs by documenting, reporting, and assisting in their resolution.
- Report insights and suggestions to the product team.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and prevent defects early in the process.
