About The Position

RBC AeroComponents, a division of RBC Bearings, is a contract aerospace manufacturing plant that produces products for the private and military sector. We are currently seeking a full-time Quality Inspector to join our team. This role involves checking parts, verifying paperwork, and collaborating with the Quality team to ensure quality standards, safety guidelines, and a clean work environment are maintained. Salary will be determined by experience level.

Requirements

Ability to interpret aerospace blueprints.
Proficiency with hand tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gages, Bore Gages).
Strong shop math skills.
Ability to follow instructions and maintain traceability.
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Quality Inspector.
High School Diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

Prior use of PC-DMIS or Zeiss Calypso (other CMM experience is welcomed).
Ability to interpret complex aerospace blueprints and apply ASME Y14.5 standards (positional tolerances, profile, etc.).
Previous experience in an AS9100 or ISO 9001 environment.
Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis or Corrective Actions (CAPA).
Experience performing and recording First Article Inspections (FAI).
Demonstrates ability to set up and run parts on the CMM as well as perform a CMM calibration.

Responsibilities

Interpret aerospace blueprints and determine the most effective metrology methods and equipment for verification.
Perform manual inspections using hand tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gages, Bore Gages) when the CMM is busy or impractical.
Calculate dimensions not explicitly stated on prints using strong shop math skills.
Follow instructions and maintain traceability.
Check parts and verify paperwork.
Work with the Quality team to maintain quality, follow safety standards and guidelines, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
