About The Position
Long’s Human Resource Services is seeking a Quality Inspector for a client company in Theodore, AL. This role is responsible for inspecting incoming and assembled products, documenting findings, and helping ensure quality standards are met throughout production. This is a great opportunity for someone with prior inspection experience who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of similar inspection experience
- Experience with visual inspection, hand gauges, and basic blueprint reading
- Strong paperwork and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Organized, self-directed, and able to multitask
- Able to work well under pressure and make sound decisions based on established standards
Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections of incoming and assembled products
- Use hand gauges including micrometers, calipers, and tape measures
- Read and follow basic blueprints, drawings, and inspection criteria
- Conduct shipping, receiving, and AQL inspections
- Verify product or component deviations using precision measuring instruments
- Prepare inspection reports, test results, and quality documentation
- Review rejects and work orders
- Support rework tracking and material movement in ERP/MRP system
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams across production and quality
- Follow internal quality procedures and meet deadlines in a high-accountability environment
