About The Position

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect precision parts. This role involves performing various types of dimensional, visual, and mechanical inspections to ensure parts meet customer criteria. The inspector will also handle non-conforming products, interpret engineering drawings, and collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes, and other measuring tools.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations for dimensional measurements.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills with the ability to troubleshoot measurement issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Quality experience in aerospace or general manufacturing environment with knowledge of ISO 9001/AS 9100 is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and or program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to measure and inspect precision parts.
  • Perform dimensional inspections on machined parts, First Piece layout, In-process, and Final Inspection.
  • Perform dimensional, visual, and mechanical inspections using standard documentation and procedures.
  • Perform receiving inspection on incoming products.
  • Ensure that all parts being inspected meet customer criteria for an acceptable part.
  • Inspect parts for nonconformance and follow the non-conforming product procedure.
  • Use various measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models to perform accurate measurements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
