Quality Inspector – Microelectronics & Assembly You play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of precision microelectronic products. Working as part of a production and inspection team, your attention to detail helps maintain high standards across the full assembly lifecycle—from incoming materials to final system inspection. You’ll collaborate closely with inspection supervisors, production teams, and occasionally customers to ensure every product meets compliance and quality expectations.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity – required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics – required
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills – required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – required
  • High school diploma – required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with inspection equipment and test instruments – preferred
  • IPC-A-610 certification – preferred
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-883 (Test Methods 2017) – preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inspect raw materials, components, and finished assemblies using visual, mechanical, dimensional, and electrical methods
  • Use microscopes and specialized test equipment to evaluate microelectronic components and semiconductor packages
  • Verify assembly quality including component placement, orientation, soldering, and overall workmanship
  • Identify defects, determine acceptability, and recommend disposition based on established procedures
  • Record inspection results and defect data in internal databases
  • Perform first article inspections on new or modified assemblies
  • Review documentation and ensure materials are properly labeled and handled
  • Support in-process monitoring of shipping, handling, and packaging
  • Assist in investigations related to product or documentation issues
  • Communicate with internal teams and customer inspectors during audits or source inspections
