About The Position

The Quality Inspector is responsible to check the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail, reliable, and committed. Knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential. The goal is to ensure our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment which meet our customer's high standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience with welding and/or manufacturing preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and planning skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills; ability to solve problems and devise creative solutions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the systems utilized by the organization, such as inventory management software. Made-2-Manage experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills required; basic trigonometry knowledge preferred.
  • Must be flexible, dependable, and have the ability to work overtime.
  • Ability to adhere to safety rules and procedures and safety minded.
  • Must maintain excellent attendance record.
  • Must pass drug test and physical.

Nice To Haves

  • Made-2-Manage experience preferred.
  • basic trigonometry knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies
  • Approve or reject product with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance
  • Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers and various gauges to ensure correct dimensions
  • Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
  • Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and discard any that doesn’t meet requirements
  • Attends production meetings and tracks when orders will be ready.
  • Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports as required.
  • Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
  • Performs other clerical duties.
  • Participates in activities and exercises in support of C&W production and safety initiatives.
  • Follows all applicable policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
