About The Position

Quality Inspectors perform a variety of quality-related tasks that may vary by location. They audit and inspect processes, parts, assemblies, and finished bodies using established Quality Assurance procedures. The role may also involve moving vehicles for water testing, lift gates, paint, decals, or final repairs before dispatch, and entering defect information and dates into a computer. Wabash provides orientation and several days of training to prepare new hires for the production floor. Employees on the production floor must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Have basic reading, writing, and verbal skills.
Have basic computer skills.
Be able to perform the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, leaning, pushing, climbing, sitting, bending, kneeling, stooping, and handling or operating tools or controls throughout the shift.
Have full range of motion in the arms and hands and be able to communicate successfully with fellow employees.
Some Quality Inspectors must work in small spaces and frequently lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Have close vision, the ability to adjust focus, and good hand-eye coordination.

Experience and education are a plus but are not required.
