About The Position

The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet the required quality standards. This role involves conducting routine inspections, documenting results, and communicating quality issues to the Quality Supervisor and production teams. The Quality Inspector plays a key role in maintaining product quality and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection or a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes, inspection techniques, and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to detect defects or non-conformance.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with team members.
  • Ability to operate and maintain basic inspection tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with quality documentation systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to established quality standards and specifications.
  • Use measuring tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure product dimensions meet requirements.
  • Document inspection results, including identifying and recording any non-conformance or defects found during inspections.
  • Ensure that all materials and products meet the required quality standards before they proceed to the next stage of production or shipment.
  • Assist with the maintenance and calibration of inspection equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Report any quality issues or discrepancies to the Quality Supervisor and collaborate with the production team to resolve them.
  • Support the implementation of corrective actions for any identified quality problems.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action plans for quality issues.
  • Conduct audits and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and Lean activities.
  • Maintain proper documentation of inspection records, test results, and non-conformance reports.
  • Assist in the training of new quality control inspectors and cross-train on different inspection tasks as needed.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Lead by example in work ethic, attendance, professionalism, and adherence to company values.

  • Respond to customer emails
  • Receive in certs
  • Collect samples, locate them and update the receiving list daily for better control and time management.
  • Update the finals list twice a week, allowing manufacturing to easily access samples for final inspection for the management team to determine if the inspection was finished and what date and time, as well as the quantity that was approved or rejected.
