This role is for the 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM.

Requirements

HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience performing manufacturing or product inspections using blueprints and specifications.
Experience performing measurements with precision measurement tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
The ability to utilize computer systems including input of data and retrieval of information for inspections and configuration purposes.
The ability to review documents and to identify and resolve any errors or missing information.
Ability to use operating software including SAP
2+ years in an Aerospace or similar inspection role

Responsibilities

Inspection of Ship Loose Kits and kitting of parts
Perform detailed product inspections on in process and finished goods, including but not limited to First Article Inspections.
Document characteristics of products accurately and with technical detail.
Initiate Quality Notifications for any non-conforming products.
Apply quality assurance procedures and requirements to the inspection of hardware and to document reviews.
Identify any potential quality issues early and help to prevent their occurrence.
Communicate effectively to other Collins Aerospace personnel any quality issues needing resolution.
Monitor and utilize calibrated measuring instruments.
Safely perform other duties as assigned.
Ability to work varying shifts, or overtime as required.
