Requirements

  • High school diploma or trade school certification, specialized training/apprenticeship and/or equivalent in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or other equivalent
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to work with assemblers and other non-technical personnel
  • Ability to teach and coach others
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams
  • Adept at handling multiple assignments in a timely manner to meet assigned deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • 0-3 years of manufacturing technician experience preferred, but not required
  • Medical device experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and basic Excel use for data analysis

Responsibilities

  • Inspects product using established specifications that ensure quality.
  • Packs finished product according to customer requirements and established specifications.
  • Studies production orders, drawings, manufacturing and customer specifications. Verifies specifications with supervisor and quality assurance department, as needed.
  • Physically and manually inspects products and dimensional characteristics and follows SOP’s and Work Instructions regarding non-conformances.
  • Reviews order requirements and expected product output per shift or assignment. Gathers necessary materials, preps boxes, liners, bags and other supplies per spec.
  • Reviews production order and specifications. Inputs information into computer and prints the required labels. Verifies accuracy of label content.
  • Reviews order specifications and materials to wrap and pack product in compliance with order.
  • Accurately notes quantity counts. Utilizes basic math, reading and use of ruler skills. Completes required paperwork per department work instructions.
  • Obtains Quality Assurance approval. Segregates all rejects. Records and summarizes inspection process per department work instructions. Notifies operator of defects immediately.
  • Works the standard shift. May be required to work additional hours when needed.
