Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Quality Inspector 1st Shift. (Monday – Friday). Overtime is available as needed. Responsible for performing sample resistance tests and sample visual inspection of all resistor types. Job Location: Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology. There are around 600 employees currently working in Columbus, NE. We are one of the largest employers in the Columbus Area.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical inspection processes required.
  • This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations. As such, this position is open only to applicants who qualify as “U.S. Persons” according to U.S. federal law.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing, machining, tooling, inspection, or quality-related experience preferred.
  • Previous experience reading engineering drawings and using precision measurement equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with GD&T concepts is preferred.
  • 2–4 years of related manufacturing or inspection experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs dimensional and visual inspection of tooling orders and production material received from manufacturing operations.
  • Conducts inspections utilizing precision measurement equipment, blueprint interpretation, and inspection systems to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Supports production flow by prioritizing inspection workload in a high-volume manufacturing environment with changing operational demands.
  • Independently evaluates product acceptability, documents inspection results, and communicates quality concerns to production, engineering, and supervision.
