About The Position

3M is seeking Quality Inspector candidates in Clarkston, Georgia. This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Quality Inspector, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by inspecting product to determine compliance with order specifications, customer requirements, and company's quality control system. You will also assure compliance with legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards. Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties. Safety is a core value at 3M. Requirements

  • Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)
  • Previous quality inspection experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an aerospace or defense related industry
  • Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting product to determine compliance with order specifications, customer requirements, and company's quality control system
  • Assuring compliance with legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards
  • Excellent visual skills to detect minute non-conformances (ex: cracks, voids, tool marks, etc.)
  • Operate small hand tools and process equipment with dexterity
  • Work with precision tools and equipment using good judgment to prevent damage to equipment, to understand equipment operation, and to be efficient
  • Corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.
  • Contribute to a strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement.
