About The Position

Individual is responsible for Quality functions and operating the waterjet, abrasive waterjet, shot peen, grit blast and thermal spray machines for processing components in PROGRESSIVE’S Process Services Department. This position is classified as safety-sensitive for FAA purposes.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Attention to details and specifications
• Computer literate
• Materials knowledge and uses
• Manufacturing procedure background
• Print reading skills
• Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry our instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Valid state driver’s license and good driving record
• Ability to obtain Hilo Certification

Responsibilities

• Visual Inspection of parts to customer standards
• Maintain product flow through inspection process
• Complete documentation of quality control paperwork
• Product Non-Conformance Documentation and Control
• Measuring and recording critical attributes using height gauge, calipers or micrometer
• Computer knowledge (Excel and Word) Essential
• Metallurgical preparation and evaluation
• Operate Process Services Equipment
• Performs other work related duties as assigned
