Flender, located in Elgin, IL is seeking a qualified and energetic Quality Inspector to focus primarily on its WIND aftermarket and secondary focus on its Industrial drives organization. The Inspector performs the inspection of mechanical components for industrial gear units, specifically components from dis-assembled units in preparation for rebuild/service for Wind Turbine and Industry unit repairs. The Inspector will also perform in process and final inspections of finished units along with ability to assist on incoming goods inspections. Duties will also include supporting projects and initiatives to ensure optimal plant performance, efficiency, and safety. This position involves inspecting and documenting mechanical components for primarily Wind and secondary Industrial gear units, specifically components from dis-assembled units in preparation for rebuild/service for Wind Turbine and Industry unit repairs. The role also includes performing in process and final inspections of finished units along with ability to assist on incoming goods inspections. Duties will also include supporting projects and initiatives to ensure optimal plant performance, efficiency, and safety. The inspector will communicate results to support Customer repair needs by using an efficient utilization of resources, interface with team members to support Project Manager(s), technical teams, division and product-line management, and promote maximum Customer satisfaction with Flender’s capabilities and potential, and Flender’s equipment reliability and availability. They will ensure the Customer's technical needs are adequately addressed and assist in providing root cause analysis support on all products (Winergy, Multi-Brand, and Industry units) to support field service technicians, in-house staff, certified service providers, OEMs and Customers.
