About The Position

SQA Services is seeking a Quality Inspector Level 2 for a 2-month contract position in Hawthrone, CA, supporting first and second shifts. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for mechanical products and a strong focus on quality. Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards.
• Hands-on experience with borescopes.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
• Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check.
• Must be ITAR compliant.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections, including visual identification of FOD, damage, burrs, and similar defects.
• Utilize standard precision measurement tools such as Borescope, calipers, pin gages, micrometers, digital thickness gages, comparators, eye loupes, and feeler picks/gauge.
• Interpret basic drawings/blueprints, including material specifications, parts lists, dimensions, and notes.
• Apply standard GD&T knowledge at a Mechanical II level.
• Demonstrate basic computer proficiency, including typing, system navigation, and file/image uploads.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and achieve 100% inspection accuracy across high daily throughput.
• Learn and apply XRF material identification techniques (training provided).
• Learn and navigate the WARP ERP system (training provided).
